About the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA): The Division of Mental Health and Addiction within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) sets care standards for the provision of mental health and addiction services to Hoosiers. DMHA is committed to ensuring that clients have access to quality services that promote individual, family and community resiliency and recovery.The division also certifies all community mental health centers and addiction treatment services providers. DMHA operates six psychiatric hospitals (NeuroDiagnostic Institute, Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital and Richmond State Hospital). DMHA provides funding support for mental health and addiction services to target populations with financial need and administers federal funds earmarked for substance abuse prevention projects. Role Overview:This role, Assistant Director of Suicide Prevention and Crisis Response, oversees the strategy for advancement and interoperability of the three pillar crisis response system (988, Mobile Crisis Team, and Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Services) . Additionally, the role oversees the operation of DMHA's suicide prevention and disaster response statewide efforts. The role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional organizational and communication skills, ability to engage diverse stakeholders, innovative drive, grant/contract management skills, and budget acumen. Clinical leadership expertise in behavioral health crisis care is preferred to complement the aforementioned leadership skill set. Salary Statement: The annual salary for this position traditionally starts at75,010.00but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: :Plan, organize, direct, monitor, and participate in ongoing comprehensive development and implementation of specialized programs and development within the agency.:Determine, analyze, identify and implement long:range objectives and specifying the strategies, KPIs, and actions to achieve them.:Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the specific program or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.:Interpret and explain in:depth and complex policies, rules, regulations, or laws to organizations, government or corporate officials, or individuals.:Develop and implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems.:Prepare and present reports for approval, including those for funding or implementation of services to executive leadership.:Develop and oversee program financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.:Develop and monitor program requirements to ensure it meets federal and state policies and grants compliance.:Develop and supervise training of employees and consultants on program requirements and usage.:Develop, coo
