Facilities Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

The starting pay rate will be: $25-$30/hour DOE!Shift will be: Sunday - Thursday 6am to 2:30pmThe Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial facilities.Essential Duties:Dismantle machines and/or equipment and replace defective parts and motorsClean and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearingsReplace or repair machine beltsRemove dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machinesPaint machines, equipment or building structures to prevent corrosionDrills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connectionsAbility to change light bulbs in a commercial building.Knowledge of 277v lighting systems.Ability to change a 120v receptacle and GFCI.Ability to change or install 277v light switches.Ability to change light bulbs in a commercial building.Bend, cut, and thread pipe, cut opening in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seal pipe joints with sealing compoundCut out and join parts for worktables, benches, shelves, and other furnishingsPatch or replace plaster or plaster board and paint walls, ceilings, and trim of buildingClear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixturesRepair or replace damaged racksCleans work areas, tools, and equipmentReport all malfunctions on equipment and safety issues and/or unsafe practices immediatelyOther duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6+ month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.Physical Demands:Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 poundsFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsRegularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsRegularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawlCorporate Summary:At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
