Description:
Job Duties: Building processes for the production of injection molds and automation. Make an impact on SpaceXs Starlink product components alongside a strong group of mechanical and process engineers. Develop new manufacturing methods, commission equipment and qualify processes to be introduced into production. Design tools to be manufactured in-house. Own and manage engineering drawings of critical mold components. Support external tool designs and attend mold trials at vendor shops. Design and model injection molds including layout, detail design, cooling and ejection. Interpret mold filling simulations and cooling analyses. Ensure designs are safe, effective, and manufacturable. Work directly in the materials engineering group. Expected Pay Range: $124,363 - $130,250/yr. Job Requirements: Depending on level/type of position, degree and/or experience may be required. Travel to various unanticipated worksites in the U.S. required.
