Who You'll Work With: The Corporate Accounting team of AB is in search of an AO- Senior Accountant to join their U.S. Controller's organization.The candidate will report to the Director of Accountingand will be involved in the monthly close process, includingpreparing and reviewing journal entries, analysis and reporting.Additionally, this role works closely with Admin Services,Treasury, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Legal, IT,other business units and International counterparts. Thecandidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environmentwhile still ensuring accuracy and accountability acrossthe team. You will play an integral role in maintainingexisting standards, while also assisting in the developmentof a more efficient and streamlined group and process. What You'll Do: Prepare and review monthly journal entriesPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and analyticsPrepare and review P&L variance analysis and provide management w/ analyticsPerform consolidation adjustments for legal entities and select mutual fundsProvide quarterly disclosure support to Financial ReportingMonitor the firms' compliance with testing and control documentation requirements of SOX 404 from a Corporate Accounting perspectiveProvide guidance and assistance to business units across the firmReview existing processes and procedures with the objective of proposing and implementing improvementsParticipate in or lead special project What We're Looking For: Ability to multitask, execute and follow-through to completionWell-organized with the ability to prioritizeStrong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative by natureProficient in MS Office w/ advanced Excel and Access (relational databases) knowledgeAbility to synthesize and distill large amounts of dataAbility to generate & implement new ideasAttention to detail and strong problem-solving abilitiesStrong client focus with the ability to respond timelyCan work independentlyExcel super userAccess super user (relational database experience)SmartStream G/L or similar ledger packageCognos Reporting or similar toolsBachelor's degree or higher in AccountingCPA preferredMinimum of 3 years' experience with lease accounting (ASC 842)Accrual accounting, Intercompany accounting or consolidation accountingMulti-currency ledgerUS GAAP vs IFRSLocation: Nashville, Tennessee USA About AB We are a leading global investment management firm offering high-quality research and diversified investment services to institutional clients, retail investors, and private-wealth clients in major markets around the globe.
